TIPS FOR A BEGINNER'S RESUME

Get that acting job!  Many people new to the biz have some blank looking resumes that might not get a second glance just for that reason. Here is one way to fill in some of that white space while increasing your 'hire-ability'. Simply list your skills on your resume. Oh, you don't have any skills? Wrong. Can you drive a vehicle with a manual transmission? Can you paint a wall? Can you quickly dress a squirming child? Can you throw dice at a craps table? Can you parallel park? Have you ever worked as a CNA? Can you properly swing a bat or golf club? Can you dance? Can you mix a Martini? Can you hammer a nail without bending it? Can you properly handle a beaker and test tube? Can you wax and polish a table? Can you make a bed with hospital corners? Can you play Bridge? Poker? Black jack? Can you knit? Can you carry four dinner plates at the same time? Can you swim? Can you ride a horse? Can you drive a tractor? Can you operate a sewing machine? Can you run a weed eater? Can you walk more than two dogs at the same time? Can you arrange flowers? Can you cut a board with a hand or power saw? Can you use a furniture dolly? Can you operate a log splitter? Can you operate a 35mm camera or DSLR? The list is endless. Why. People want to see realistic action in the movies and can spot a fake in two seconds and that's why genuine skills are always in demand. Caution: Don't claim it if you can't do it unless you want the black ball dropped squarely on your head.

HERE'S LOOKING AT YOU!

MANE ATTRACTION - Frazzled by flyaways and frizzies.  Quick Fix...mist an old, but clean toothbrush with hairspray and lightly comb it over strands to smooth and tame.

SMILE STYLE - Brighten your pearly whites with these simple steps.
IN THE MORNING...Brush with a toothpaste containing hydrogen peroxide to fade surface spots. A mouthwash with brightening fluoride will help restore enamel.
PREVENT STAINING...Sip dark liquids through a straw...coffee, tea, colas - hot or cold.
AFTER LUNCH...Can't Brush? Sugar free gum helps prevent bacteria which causes stains.
AT NIGHT...Brush, floss and apply whitening strips.
